francisapaloofoundation is an independent charitable organisation designed to donate to charities in the forefront of the battle to combat or eradicate poverty.

A retired general medical practitioner, Dr. Francis Kwasi Beeby Apaloo first conceived the idea way back in his youth.   At first it was a vision to form a group to combat or eradicate the anopheles mosquito, that is the scourge of sub-saharan africa.   During his undergraduate years he soon realised that his operational ideas were unrealistic, however, he remained undaunted.   It was disheartening, to say the least, to see so many organisations spring up to take up the challenge whilst his dreams lay dormant on the drawing table.

It felt as if he had dreamt an impossible dream.   By late 1990's he came up with a solution to form a foundation with two arms.   These would be the 'feeder branches' that would supply the main body with funds from trading.   The first arm will be medical, which is obvious from Dr. Apaloo's professional background.  This would involve laser treatment for obesity.   The other arm would be purely commercial, involving trading in high grade building sand and beautiful, first class, incomparable Namibian granite.   The idea was borne out of a medical trip to wonderful Namibia.

Dr. Apaloo says, ' society has enriched my personality abundantly in each and every way, to overfill my life.   It is only befitting that i return my I.O.U. in any way possible.   Generosity enlarges ones horizon and ones world.   The opposite, creates a small world and stingy people.   My thoughts, my words and actions are underpinned by truth that would be fair to all concerned.   This would connect together people of all races, and religion, build goodwill and better friendship.   This attribute should bring benefit to everyone in our society'.
